In just a two-hour drive from home we have access to one of the most magnificent and beautiful lakes with its surrounding mountains and beautiful scenery. We took advantage and spent the day exploring the Moosehead Lake region and to Kokajo and travelled on many dirt roads checking out some wilderness camp sites and on moose safari! We didn’t see a moose up close and personal, but saw a huge bull moose off in a swampy area, but too far away to capture a good photo with my iPhone!
