We’ve had a busy period preparing our camp for the influx of summer visitors – even with COVID-19! (Yes, guests are taking the necessary precautions and we are adhering to the state mandated requirements, as well as doing extra disinfecting!)
Dennis spent several weeks having the front shingled – he and a couple of guys, cutting back saplings, doing some grading and spreading crushed rock in parking area. It was too much work, but the end result is gratifying.
We enjoyed a relaxing weekend (no heavy work involved!!) with COVID-bubble friends over for dinner and a quick trip to check out Marshall Shores on Lake St. George. We will definitely bring swimsuits next time. Ffly thought it was lots of fun!
The new shingling looks great! I don’t know where Dennis gets all his energy from but I envy him. Ffly looks a bit ratty at the moment but I suppose that’s because there is a dearth of beauty salons in the area. Jean and I have just returned from the cottage where we went up to have breakfast and escape the heat in the valley. Merryl’s birthday is today and we’re going with Ingrid and Gudrun to have a bit of cake and coffee this afternoon. I’ll pass on your best wishes. Take care of yourselves!
With much affection,
Jean and John
