A fully preserved piece of the Berlin Wall donated to Georgia by Germany in 2017 to symbolize their shared desire for freedom and unity.

We took the Cable car from Europe Square to where the huge statue of Mother of Georgia overlooks the city.

The Mother of Georgia statue was erected on the top of Sololaki hill in 1958, the year Tbilisi celebrated its 1500th anniversary. The figure of a woman in Georgian national dress is built from aluminium and is 20 meters tall.

The leaning tower of Tbilisi is a funky structure in old town. It appears to be on the brink of falling down, and only a steel beam holds the tower in place. At noon the upper doors open and a puppet angel strikes the bell 12 times and then the puppets appear on the stage for a show! Appearing old – it isn’t – it was constructed in 2011.

Odd looking chimney!

The Bridge of Peace, opened in 2010, is a pedestrian bridge to connect the historic Old Town with the new Rike Park, and has become a popular symbol of modern Tbilisi. The 150-meter-long steel and glass bridge is illuminated with 50,000 LED bulbs at night.
