Landing in south Tenerife was reminiscent of being in Arizona with both the heat and arid landscape, but as we wound our way up the twisting road towards the northern part of the island everything became green.

The views from Finca de la Musica are stunning.
We visited the picturesque small town of Garachico which was once a bustling port. In 1706 nature changed the destiny for the town when Montana Negro erupted, spewing rivers of lava that swept through the town and destroyed the harbor. The lava that filled the harbor has been transformed into unusual rock pools.
