With our 36-hour stop-over in Portugal, (Portugal – one of my happy places😍), we opted to stay in the quaint town of Sintra. Just 30 minutes from Lisbon, it is charming with its winding cobblestone roads, palaces and castles.

We stayed at the lovely Casa Sao Miguel.
We took a short drive to nearby Ericeira – a sparkling seaside town that is known to surfers.
..and shared this fabulous grilled sea bass at a very popular local restaurant.
