Back (home) in Dorset

I am taking Cindy on a whirlwind trip to England – spending 4 days in Dorset and visiting family, then 3 days in London.

On the way we made a stop at Stone Henge – a place Cindy really wanted to visit while I want to remember it from my childhood where we could run and play and picnic beside the stones.

First night meeting Tom (brother) and Doris for dinner at The World’s End – an old haunt of mine.

Our cute little cottage in the very rural village of Dewlish. The cows from the dairy farm across the road go to pasture and return every evening.

We spent Saturday at my sister’s with her four sons and their families. It was a wonderful day.

They have the most beautiful property that includes a pond with swans, a sluice and stream, amazing views and wooded glades.

Bere Regis, the place of my youth! And our parish church.

Lulworth Cove where I spent many hours fossiling, walking the cliffs, or spending evenings with friends around a small fire on the beach.

Tea at Lucy’s – my niece – with her three lovely children.
