Lucy

We said goodbye to our beloved Lucy on February 6. She was a member of the family since July 2005.

You were my first “dog love”! you came unexpectedly into our lives as a flea ridden, worm infested, filthy little thing! Dr. Sarah estimated are that you were 3-4 months old and so your birthday became April 1, 2005. You turned into such a beauty! Our Waldo County Girl!

You traveled across the USA and back twice, up and down both the east and west coastlines; camped, stayed in hotels, rode elevators – you took it all in your stride! We had picnics, hikes, runs on the beaches and through forests! You even took a dip an in alligator infested pond! People constantly asked us “what breed is that?” We had no answer – other than that she is a beauty and is a Waldo County Girl! whobehaves much like a border collie. We love you! You are my first dog and our first “together” dog. We’ll see you on the other side sweet girlie! Go find your brother Rocky! And your friend Ceilidh💔💔

Glorious Autumn…

Despite the lack of rain the garden is still a riot of color and we continue to harvest a variety of vegetables … and now the juicy, delicious pears are ready.

Schooner Sail with Peter

We took Peter on a short day sail on Penobscot Bay – his first sailing experience – for his 8th birthday. The most perfect day and conditions for a schooner sail.

He helped hoist the sails and became the Captain’s mate!

A Weekend with the Grands and Greats

Memorial Day weekend spent with the kids – lots of fun and high energy! A huge shoutout to Kat, Ian, Zach and Grandpa for laying the decking on the 12×30′ frame in 5 HOURS! while GG had fun with Colby and Lincoln; and Peter and Greyson spent time with their Aunt McKayla.

McKayla doing what she loves the most.

Fun times and birthday celebrations at camp.
