Snoqualmie visit

I just flew across the country to spend four precious days with Kat and the fearsome4some! Last visit was Christmas 2021 – and what a change in them! Especially Peter and Greyson, the middle-schoolers.

They moved to Snoqualmie this past summer and it’s a lovely area and neighborhood.

Saturday was spent shuttling between a soccer match (Linc) and three football games (Greyson, Peter, and Colby – the tiny mighty!)

Sunday we visited the Kite family in Mount Vernon where the boys helped split, haul and stack wood. Followed by hair-raising rides through the woods in the golf cart!

Our first few days in Issaquah (PNW)

Off to school for the fearsome4some

… and then GG and pampa could take a walk around the pond with beautiful soaring pines bordering the peat moss soft path.

Peter enjoying some ribs, and story times for the little guys..

Greyson’s football game #15 (McPherran) with red boots where they won handily 28-12..

A rainy Sunday was spent at the Flight Museum …

Spending a week with these guys and checking out their new home and neighborhood.

The playground and lake is just around the corner.

Feeding peas to the ducks, especially the “pretty ones” is lots of fun😍

Downtown Redmond.

Peter had football practice and didn’t come along for the splashy fun!

Lake Sammamish fun!

Seattle

We spent the morning downtown visiting Pike’s market, riding on the ferris wheel, and lunching at Post Alley Pizza.

Beautiful fresh flowers, fabulous salmon, juicy apples and tasty cider were abundant at the market.

It was the perfect day to ride on the wheel.

The pizzas prepared by Andrew were delicious. It was great to see both Ruel and Andrew and wish them every success.

From Florence to Astoria, OR on Rte 101

We were lucky to have a spectacular day on November 30 to drive the coastal route to Cannon Beach. We spent so much time stopping and enjoying the scenery, having lunch, visiting cheese factories, tasting wine, etc. that we arrived in Cannon Beach too late to see Haystack Rock. Our hotel, The Wayside Inn, was very nice and we especially enjoyed the upgrade to a two bedroom suite with gas fire.

Unfortunately we awoke to drizzly, misty weather that turned to rain. The beach with crashing white surf and the rocks shrouded in mist  was still worthwhile.
