Our little flat is close to the Barbican Centre and convenient enough to walk and enjoy many sights. We took the Elizabeth Line from Heathrow to Farringdon and it was an easy 10 minute walk.
After a mid afternoon lunch and stocking up on a few essentials, I had itchy feet to get out and walk the streets. People were leaving work, gathering at local pubs and drink spots with friends and colleagues, and it was a beautiful evening.
I love the blends of modern architecture with the old.
Suddenly I was at the Thames – London Bridge – as the sun was setting.
…. and St. Paul’s before heading home.
As the saying goes “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford.”
