MS Rotterdam IV

We boarded the new (one year old) Rotterdam at the quay in central Amsterdam. As I had hoped, by looking at the deck plan diagram, we have a lovely large forward facing balcony!

Facing the wrong direction, we had to turn around in a slightly wider part of the canal and then set off in the North Sea canal. The canal, constructed between 1865 and 1876, runs from Amsterdam to the locks at IJmuiden and then the North Sea.

The array of windmills in the North Sea that I saw from the air.

The track on the Deck 11 was virtually empty this morning when I did a 2-mile walk.
