The Sognefjord, nicknamed the King of the Fjords, is the largest and deepest fjord in Norway. Located in Vestland county in Western Norway, it stretches 205 kilometres inland from the ocean to the small village of Skjolden. The water is a beautiful green, and we had another spectacular day with temps reaching mid-80’s while in Skjolden.
Villages and farmhouses set amongst green pastures dotted the fjord.
Skjolden – the sheep were wearing bells!
We enjoyed leisure time aboard our floating resort.
What a magnificent and wonderfully scenic cruise. I visited Norway as a child and fell in love. Your pictures are truly a delight.
