We are vaccinated and are ready to hit the open road. Yes! We are “one of those”! as someone exclaimed when I said we’d be towing the Jeep!

Day three and we’re at Panther Creek State park in Tennessee. We’ve stayed here before, and once during a tornado warning when we had to evacuate to the cinder block bathrooms! It’s a lovely spot with open grass areas and a creek running through.

We enjoyed a little backroads trip around Lake Cherokee enjoying the rolling hills and Tennessee barns. The water levels in the lake are very low – probably 20 foot deficit – and many of the docks in front of waterfront properties were high and dry!

We picnicked at the river then Ffly and I took a walk across the almost 1.5 mile dam.

Ffly is the most amazing little traveler. How did we get so lucky? She has her bed between our seats and chills during road time.
