Martina Franca

It is a rainy day in this lovely town and we are thankful for our comfortable room at Rossini Guesthouse. We ventured out this morning to explore the historic district which, like many of the other town we’ve visited, comprises a labyrinth of alleys that empty out into lovely piazzas.

We had a mid-afternoon lunch in a very lively local restaurant Bracio Local Carni. Evidently Martina Franca is known for its meat and my lamb chops were testimony to that.
