We’ve been on frigates, masted galleons, submarines, and now had the opportunity to tour an aircraft carrier. The USS Lexington was first commissioned in February 1943 and decommissioned in April 1947 after having fought in every major campaign from Tarawa to Tokyo. She was named the “Blue Ghost” having thought by the Japanese to have been sunk five times. It was recommissioned in 1955 and was in service until November 1991.

Ffly continues to enjoy her Spring Fling with lots of walks and ball and frisbee runs in the park.

The Farmers’ Market is held on Wednesday evenings at the Art Center downtown on the waterfront at the marina. A great location! We bought some delicious pepper infused jellies.
