It was so good to be met at Schipol by Agnita and her big smile. From there to a restaurant (where Julia works) near their home in North Amsterdam (across canal from the Central Station.)
Wednesday was a change of pace and a relaxing boat ride along canals and onto a lake in a beautiful area south of Amsterdam. The summer cottages lining the canals are so sweet and typically Dutch! And the hydrangeas are in full blazing bloom.
All this was followed by lunch at Noorderlicht Cafe, a quirky restaurant in a greenhouse style structure (with outdoor seating), in an eclectic semi-industrial area on the canal. (More later).
