Hill Country, Texas – Dripping Springs

We left Corpus Christi with 2,490 miles under our belt and are now meandering slowly back in a
northeasterly direction.

We stopped for lunch in San Marcos, a cute little town and home to Texas State University. Lots of eateries and a central square with courthouse – reminded us very much of Prescott AZ.

Our next stop on the way is Dripping Springs, TX an almost suburb of Austin, but just country enough to be its own place. The area has lots of wineries and vineyards, breweries and distilleries – craft alcohol is big here! We are AirBnBing in a cute little place behind the main house in a neighborhood of large homes on large lots. It’s ideal for walking and there is virtually no traffic.

Our digs for the week

In the neighborhood.

Lunch at Hays City Store with a huge selection of local craft brews and good ole TexMex fare!

Wimberley, TX – a cute, artsy little place on a creek.

Attempts at some family portraits!!!
